CAMRA SO – Join us this week!

Hello CAMRA SO Members!

It’s great to be able to send this to everyone now that some social restrictions have been relaxed! The recent positive news from the BC Government Public Health Office (PHO) that Step 1 of BC’s Restart Plan is in place now is exciting. This phase includes seated outdoor organized gatherings of up to 50 people, with a COVID-19 Safety Plan. This means we can host a structured social event up to that number of guests. So, let’s get together for a “Beer at the Beach” and catch-up – details below!

There are more CAMRA SO events in the planning stages and we’re hoping that Step 2 in BC’s Restart Plan will be able to start June 15, as that will allow more social freedom options.

More information will be on its way soon, so please watch for future news – we can’t wait to see you all again!

CAMRA SO – Beer at the Beach 2021 June 3 (this Thursday)
Whoo-hoo! Let’s celebrate that we are in step 1 of BC’s Restart Plan! We can now come together for seated outdoor organized gatherings in groups of up to 50 people. And as well, the City of Penticton is again allowing for responsible consumption of alcohol at specific beaches and parks in Penticton. So…. we thought this would be a great time for a COVID-safe, CAMRA South Okanagan members meet-up.

Location: Marina Way Park, Penticton
Date: Thursday, June 3rd
Time: 5-7pm

Bring your favourite craft beer or craft cider plus a camp chair or blanket to sit on, as the PHO requirements say that guests must be seated. Enjoy catching up with other CAMRA SO members, in lovely Marina Way Park (by the Penticton Art Gallery and the Penticton Ikeda Japanese Garden).

Bring along a snack, picnic or even support a local business and order food to go to enjoy! It’s a great way to support our CAMRA business partners, or other local business.

Please take note of the COVID safety rules and protocols that will be in place for the event:
– this event will be held outdoors
– attendees must abide by the 2 metre (6 feet) physical distancing requirements to ensure physical distancing at all times
– bring all of your own plates, cutlery etc., so that no items have to be shared
– everyone attending will need to provide their contact information for contact tracing, so please be prepared to share this information if you would like to attend
– please bring a chair or blanket, as this event requires all guests are seated
– we will have hand sanitizer available

So please join us and enjoy some awesome craft-beer related conversation and a safe outdoor visit. As always, it’s important to plan a safe ride home. Check our CAMRA SO Facebook page for further information regarding this event.
